Swann Auction Galleries Sale #2759: Collectors will find a range of media, from prints and multiples, original sculpture, paintings, and photographs from some of the most engaging, internationally recognized artists.

Among highlights are two exemplary examples of twentieth-century printmaking. Roy Lichtenstein's imposing Imperfect Diptych is a technically brilliant woodcut and screenprint with collage, a feat for Gemini G.E.L. to produce—it's over seven feet long. The Imperfect Series of prints was an offshoot of Lichtenstein's same-titled series of paintings, which he worked on from 1986-88. The prints push the boundaries, not only of the medium, but of the printed border itself. Another ingenious print with no shortage of wall power is "The Monkey-Rope" by Frank Stella, printed at Tyler Graphics. Like Lichtenstein's woodcut, "The Monkey-Rope" challenged the technical ability of modern printmakers. Each print from Stella's "Moby Dick Deckle Edge" series is visually stunning, even dizzying, with bright colors and a kaleidoscope of patterns; all hallmarks of Stella's late career.

Collectors will appreciate fine impressions of other rare prints, photographs, and exceptional original works of art by diverse artists across disciplines.
